Read Acts 1 v1-11. The book of Acts marks a new beginning. Luke wrote his gospel about the life and work of Jesus. In the beginning of Acts, Luke tells us that now Jesus was about to ascend into heaven, and His life and work would continue in His other body, the church! He now became not only Jesus the friend and the One who sacrificed His life: He became the ascended Christ who has the right to lead our lives, because He is recognised as God the Almighty.
