Only God could make the kind of impact necessary to redeem humankind from it’s sin and itself. V11 unto you a Saviour is born, he is Christ the Lord. Christ the Lord is the Anointed One, the chosen one of God to redeem all of humankind!
Hallowed is a funny old word, not much used – probably most commonly used when referring to the old Wembley’s ‘hallowed turf’! A dictionary definition is sanctified; consecrated; highly venerated. A hallowed person is someone we should treat with awe and respect – because they deserve it.

In 1973 there was a well-known experiment carried out by Darley & Batson to study the Good Samaritan effect. They found that a person in a hurry is less likely to help people, even if he is going to speak about the parable of the Good Samaritan. So even thinking about good values, like helping others, does not mean that one will act on them.
